April 7th – Good Friday
As Jesus suffered on the cross, the victim of a system of oppression and persecution, he uttered, "It is Finished."
But is it, really?
In today's service, we sit awhile at the base of the cross and grieve, but then we pick up that cross to continue the work of justice-building and peace-making that Jesus began.
Focus passage: various verses from Matthew 26 and 27, Psalm 13, and Luke 23.
