June 7, 2020 – responding to cries for justice

Passage: Exodus 1:8-2:10

We have seen monumental changes in our world again this week. Protesters are taking to the streets all around the globe to seek justice in response to anti-black racism. Some protests have been violent - most have been peaceful - and all are intended to bring about widespread systemic change. All of this in the midst of a global pandemic. We are definitely living in historic times! So how to we respond?

As we continue our "Unravelled" sermon series this Sunday, we look to the example of some women of the Old Testament and how they stood up to an evil system in order to bring about change. Our focus passage is Exodus 1:8-2:10
