Antiphonal singing follows a call and response format - one section sings a call and the other section sings a response. When Jesus calls his disciples to follow him, he's basically asking them to join the choir and to sing God's kingdom of justice and peace into existence. The radical nature of Jesus' antiphon is especially evident in his call to four fishermen, as he asks them to stop fishing for the state and start fishing for the people.
We explore how we, too, are called to join the antiphon in today's service based on Mark 1:14-20.
